Who’s taking care of our jurors? Next steps in supporting juror well-being
May 8 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
As part of Juror Appreciation Week 5th–11th May 2025, this hybrid event will bring together researchers and policymakers to honour the role jurors play in the justice system and to explore how jurors can be provided with specialist support for their wellbeing.
Our expert panellists have first hand experience of jury service, policy, and practice, and will share national and international perspectives on next steps for promoting the wellbeing of jurors. This panel discussion will raise awareness of the current landscape in relation to juror wellbeing, and the significant contributions and potential challenges faced by jurors in England and Wales.
Together we will explore avenues for improving the juror experience.
Our panellists include:
- Dr Hannah Fawcett – Researcher into Juror Wellbeing
- Mark Farrant – CEO, Canadian Juries Commission
- Kate Nolan – Strategic Advisor, CiC Wellbeing
- Joe Ahearne – former juror
