You have been summoned: A jury service experience

Step inside a courtroom and explore the intriguing realities of jury service in this exciting interactive workshop.

Ever wondered what it would be like to sit on a jury? This interactive workshop brings alive a unique opportunity to step inside a mock courtroom and experience the realities of jury service. Through a simulated mock jury experience, you’ll explore a fictional criminal case, consider evidence and discover both the responsibilities and rewards of helping to deliver justice. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into how juries work, aspects that influence decision making and a glimpse into the world of courtroom psychology.

The event, hosted by academics from the School of Psychology (Dr Matt Brooks, Dr Hannah Fawcett, Dr Amuda Agneswaran, Dr Katie McMillan), and illustrator Dr Zoe Cox, is taking place on Tuesday 20 October, 5:30pm – 7:30pm, in the old courtroom at the Manchester Police Museum.
